About us

Nepal, a small country sandwiched in betwen China and India, is one of the purest in the world. More than 90% of the population live in the rural areas where education, healthcare, transportation, and communication services are very limited. Nepal has 82,5% of its population living below income of US$ 2 per day. Children are particularly vulnerable, especially orphags and children from lower caste families do not receive adecuate attention from development projects and the government.

It is in this context that the Destitute Children Home (DCH) is founded in 2004 by a group of dedicated social members with a goal to provide home for orphans, poor and under privileged children so that they receive proper love and Affection in addition to care support, Nutrition, Medical Care, Education and Job-Oriented training.
DCH is registered with The government of Nepal, Ministry of Homes, District Administration Office, Pokhara. And is affiliated with social Welfare Council of Nepal.
DCH is a non-profit social welfare organization dedicated to providing care for orphans, abandoned, underprivileged and needy children. It is comencing with a rented home in Pokhara.
DCH doesn’t receive any financial support from the government and is not affiliated with any political organization. It relies solely on private donations, own fund raising activities and occasional assistance from other national/international Non Government Organization.


  • OBJETIVES AND GOALS OF DCH
    1.Provide help for very poor, socially depressed and orphans in educational, and activities in order to make them selves sufficient.
    2.To provide shelter to those children whose parents died in political crisis and other natural disaster.
    3.To provide with Health Treatment and Necessary Facilities to the children.
    4.To provide educational expenses fill their grade 10+2 and support their vocational training so as to make them self reliant in their future.
    5.To ensure that the children of DCH receive quality education.


  • FUTURE PLANS OF DCH
    1.Purchase land and develop children’s own home to accommodate more children.
    2.Implement an off site scolarship assistance program.
    3.To establish DCH around Nepal.
    4.To provide job, skills training so that they will be self-supportive and independent.
    5.If we receive sufficient funds then we would like to build own building, so that our expenses will cut down and with that saving we may start poultry farm and other programs
